Sophia Butz is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with a passion for holistic, patient-centered care. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Towson University and spent the beginning of her career caring for children at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. Throughout her time there, she learned high-level critical thinking, rapid decision-making and multidisciplinary team collaboration.  She continued her education at Herzing University where she obtained her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN). She graduated summa cum laude as a Family Nurse Practitioner and certified with the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She started her nurse practitioner career at Medstar working with diabetic patients where she saw firsthand the impact of lifestyle choices on health outcomes.

She is a certified yoga instructor and teaches classes that focus on breathwork, body awareness, and the therapeutic benefits of yoga. Whether working one-on-one in the office or leading a group on the mat, Sophie’s mission is to empower others to take an active role in their healing journey and to live with intention, connection, and well-being. She collaborates closely with patients to uncover root causes of illness, offering individualized care plans that may include nutrition, movement, stress management, and mindfulness practices.

Sophie enjoys spending her free time running, going to the Delaware beaches, and spending time with her husband and son.
