Sara brings a unique blend of psychological insight and advanced nursing expertise to her role at our health and wellness clinic. Her comprehensive educational background began at the University of Buffalo, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, followed by a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Loyola College.
Her healthcare journey started with three years at the Veterans Hospital, where she worked with patients suffering from neurodegenerative diseases, particularly Alzheimer’s disease. Inspired by the compassionate nursing care she witnessed, Sara transitioned into nursing, earning her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from the University of Maryland School of Nursing and becoming a registered nurse in 2012.
Sara dedicated the next decade to intensive care nursing at the Veterans Hospital, where she honed her skills in critical patient care. Driven by her commitment to advancing patient outcomes, she pursued her Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) with a specialty as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Maryland School of Nursing. She is licensed as a nurse practitioner in Maryland and credentialed by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
Initially drawn to urgent care, Sara quickly recognized the profound impact of inadequate preventative medicine on patient health. This realization sparked her passion for wellness-focused care, leading her to specialize in optimizing patient health through comprehensive preventative approaches rather than simply treating illness after it occurs.
In addition to her clinical expertise, Sara has developed specialized skills in aesthetic medicine, offering neurotoxin treatments (Botox/Dysport), dermal fillers, Skinvive, microneedling, and VI Peels. Her holistic approach to wellness encompasses both internal health optimization and helping clients feel confident and beautiful in their own skin.
Sara’s philosophy centers on empowering patients to achieve optimal wellness through personalized, preventative care that addresses both physical and emotional well-being. When not caring for patients, she enjoys staying active through running and hiking, and spending quality time with her husband, two children, and two dogs.
