

Dr. Randolph Whipps, MD FACC is the founding physician of LifeMed Institute, the largest concierge wellness facility on the East Coast. He is a champion for men’s and women’s health initiatives; practicing cardiac preventative medicine, hormone replacement therapy, aesthetic medicine (including Botox and dermal fillers) as well as rejuvenation and age management treatments. Wellness medicine is a specialized field, just as a cancer patient would see an oncologist, a patient seeking cardiac prevention, hormone optimization, age management aesthetics and rejuvenation should get treatment from a physician that specializes in this field. Dr. Whipps graduated from the University of Maryland School of Medicine and completed his residency in Internal Medicine and Fellowship at the University of Maryland/Baltimore VA Medical Center in 1981. Since his graduation he has practiced his specialty of Cardiology privately and as Chief, Division of Cardiology at the University of Maryland Midtown Campus.


Melanie Sawhney is a dedicated physician from Columbia, MD. She attended medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. Following medical school, she trained in family medicine, subsequently transitioning to wellness medicine. She treats each patient holistically and systematically, thoroughly probing every symptom to identify the root cause. Dr. Sawhney truly believes that we can slow down the aging process and enjoy a much fuller life with the proper balance of hormone levels, diet, nutrition and exercise. Her inquisitive mind and passion for evidence-based wellness medicine keeps her focused on utilizing a whole-body approach. When she is not practicing medicine, Dr. Sawhney enjoys spending time with her husband, Sameer, and her two daughters Sophia, and Charlotte, watching football (Go Packers!) and traveling.



Alison Eissler earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing (BSN) at the University of Pittsburgh and continued to Jefferson University for her Master of Science in nursing (MSN), with a specialty in Adult Gerontology Primary Care. During her time at Jefferson she completed clinical rotations at the University of Maryland Medical Center and Chase Brexton Health System. She is licensed as a nurse practitioner in Maryland and Virginia and is a certified nurse practitioner with the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She also holds advanced certification in bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) and is trained in cutting-edge regenerative medicine protocols. After graduation, Alison took a job in pain management where she witnessed the horrors of chronic disease management which led her to develop a passion for true preventative medicine. This experience drove her to expand her expertise into hormone optimization and regenerative therapies, including peptide therapy, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) treatments, and other innovative regenerative approaches to healing. Alison believes that management of chronic disease is done most ideally through prevention by empowering her clients through education, integration, and lifestyle changes. Her integrative approach combines traditional medicine with hormone optimization, regenerative therapies, and lifestyle modifications to help patients achieve optimal wellness and vitality. She leverages advanced genetic testing and analysis to gain deeper insights into her clients’ health profiles, allowing her to develop precisely tailored treatment plans. Alison is also a certifying provider with the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission. In her spare time, she traveling the world, lifting weights, cooking and spending time with her partner and rescue dog.


Chloe Riley is a board-certified Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner with a strong foundation in both conventional and preventative medicine. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Towson University in 2015, launching her healthcare career as a registered nurse in oncology in the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at Johns Hopkins Hospital. She later continued her oncology work in the Outpatient Infusion and Cancer Center at Northwest Hospital, where her deep connection with patients inspired her to advance her career. Motivated to make a broader impact, Chloe earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Spring Arbor University in 2020 and became board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She began her NP career in orthopedics and pain management, specializing in joint injections using platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and Human Cellular Tissue Products (HCTP), gaining valuable experience in regenerative therapies. Chloe’s passion for wellness, hormone optimization, and chronic disease prevention led her to join LifeMed Institute. At LifeMed, she specializes in bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT), thyroid and hormone optimization, regenerative medicine, and lifestyle interventions. She is also a certifying provider with the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission. Chloe is dedicated to helping patients achieve optimal health through a holistic, individualized, and evidence-based approach. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, working out, and spending time with her husband and their dog, Brody.


Rebecca Holub originally earned a bachelor’s degree in Child Development with a minor in Psychology from East Carolina University and subsequently began to work in pediatrics at The University of Maryland Medical Center which sparked the desire to further her career in medicine. This led to her pursuit of an Associate’s degree in nursing in the accelerated nursing program at Howard Community College. She spent 7 years working on cardiac and stroke units at St. Joseph Medical Center and continued her nursing career on the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at the Greenebaum Cancer Center at The University of Maryland Medical Center for 5 years. Wishing to further her career she pursued a master’s degree in nursing at Simmons University. She graduated summa cum laude as a Family Nurse Practitioner and certified with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Following graduation, she worked as a nurse practitioner in Hematology/Oncology at the University of Maryland St Joseph Medical Center caring for patients in the Cancer Center. Her experience in oncology as well as cardiac/stroke care and pediatrics has further developed her life passion for preventive medicine, wellness as well as aesthetics. Rebecca has trained in bioidentical hormone replacement therapy in Utah, as well as neuromodulator and dermal filler training at Aesthetic University. Rebecca feels that one of the most effective forms of preventive medicine is the empowerment of patient knowledge. Through supporting each patient in a personalized way, she empowers her clients to make lifestyle changes that will improve their quality of life, by not only looking good, but feeling good as well. Rebecca enjoys spending time with her husband raising their two sons, daughter, and Labradoodle. She has a great time being a cheerleader for her children and attending their basketball and soccer games.


Kelley Marchiano, PA-C
She earned her Bachelor of Science in kinesiology and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Maryland College Park where she was also a D1 student athlete on the track team. She continued her education at Seton Hall University where she earned her master of science in Physician Assistant Studies. She is a licensed practitioner in Maryland and is a certified practitioner with the American Academy of PAs. Since graduation, she has worked for almost a decade in ER and urgent care near Baltimore where she saw firsthand the repercussions of undiagnosed or poorly managed chronic diseases, many of which could have been prevented. Kelley has a genuine passion for helping empower patients by taking the time to educate them and tailor a plan specific for them based on their symptoms and lab work. She loves helping patients look and feel their best while improving their overall quality of life. In her spare time, she enjoys running, going for hikes with her dog, and spending time with her husband and two children.


Daniel McHugh originally earned a Bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in philosophy from McDaniel College and subsequently began to work in the field of clinical microbiology which sparked an interest in medicine. This led to his pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in nursing at Towson University. He has spent more than a decade working in critical care units throughout the Baltimore metropolitan area. Wishing to grow further in his career, he pursued a Master’s degree in nursing at Drexel University. He would graduate summa cum laude with a focus in adult gerontology. Following graduation, he worked as a nurse practitioner with Cardiac Surgery services at the University of Maryland St Joseph Medical Center caring for patients in the Intensive Care Unit following cardiothoracic surgery. His experience in cardiac care has led to a passion for preventive medicine. Combining this with his own experience as a patient of Dr. Randolph Whipps has fostered his interest in becoming a member of the team at Lifemed Institute. Dan feels that one of the most effective forms of preventive medicine is the empowerment of patient education. While not working at Lifemed, Dan spends his time with his wife raising their three young children, attending their cheerleading and gymnastics activities and events.



Erika Muller earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing (BSN) from Towson University in 2011. After graduation, Erika began her career as a registered nurse in the operating room (OR) at Mercy Medical Center. She spent the majority of her OR career working with the breast cancer specialist and the minimally invasive robotics teams. Erika left Mercy in 2015 to start the CCBC Essex/Towson University Physician Assistant (PA) program. She graduated in 2017 with a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies. Erika worked as a physician assistant at Mercy Medical Center in the department of urology and with the breast cancer specialists and plastic surgeons. Erika is a lifestyle educator and understands that each patient’s needs are different and exemplifies integrity, energy and hard work with every patient scenario. In her free time, Erika enjoys working out, running, spending time with her daughter and husband, and cooking.


Thomasina Roe became a registered nurse (RN) in 2014. She continued her education at Wilmington University, obtaining both her Bachelor of Science in nNursing (BSN) and Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a specialty in family medicine. She is licensed as a nurse practitioner in Delaware and Maryland and is credentialed by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). After spending the majority of her nursing career working in an intensive care unit (ICU), Thomasina knew she wanted to branch out into wellness promotion. She has seen the repercussions of inadequate preventative medicine with her patients in the ICU and recognizes the importance of providing clients with the tools and education they need to optimize their health. In addition, she has completed extensive training in medical aesthetics with leading experts in the field and through Aesthetic Medical Educators, INC. She specializes in neurotoxins (Botox/Dysport) and dermal fillers and is a ZO Skin Health Specialist and Expert Certified. Thomasina is passionate about helping her clients feel confident and beautiful in their skin while maintaining natural beauty.


Sara brings a unique blend of psychological insight and advanced nursing expertise to her role at our health and wellness clinic. Her comprehensive educational background began at the University of Buffalo, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, followed by a Master's in Clinical Psychology from Loyola College. Her healthcare journey started with three years at the Veterans Hospital, where she worked with patients suffering from neurodegenerative diseases, particularly Alzheimer's disease. Inspired by the compassionate nursing care she witnessed, Sara transitioned into nursing, earning her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from the University of Maryland School of Nursing and becoming a registered nurse in 2012. Sara dedicated the next decade to intensive care nursing at the Veterans Hospital, where she honed her skills in critical patient care. Driven by her commitment to advancing patient outcomes, she pursued her Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) with a specialty as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Maryland School of Nursing. She is licensed as a nurse practitioner in Maryland and credentialed by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Initially drawn to urgent care, Sara quickly recognized the profound impact of inadequate preventative medicine on patient health. As a board-certified Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Kim specializes in preventative and regenerative medicine, empowering clients to take proactive control of their wellness before illness takes hold. Kim's clinical foundation began at the University of Delaware in 2004, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing with specialized training in cardiology. She furthered her expertise with a Master's degree from Walden University, initially focusing on gastroenterology where she developed a deep understanding of how interconnected body systems influence overall health and vitality. This holistic perspective naturally evolved into Kim's current practice philosophy at our clinic: shifting from reactive sick care to proactive health optimization. She seamlessly integrates preventative medicine with aesthetic wellness services, including therapeutic injectables, helping clients feel confident and vibrant from the inside out. Sarah York is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who specializes in hormone optimization, integrative medicine, and disease prevention. With a passion for helping patients feel their best at every stage of life, Sarah takes a personalized, whole-body approach to care by offering therapies that support energy, balance, longevity, and wellness from the inside out. She earned both her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing, following a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Central Florida. Her advanced training includes expertise in bio-identical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT), peptide therapy, medical weight loss, and aesthetic procedures such as neurotoxin injections, dermal fillers, and non-invasive skin rejuvenation treatments. Sarah brings a unique blend of clinical experience to her practice. She spent four years as a registered nurse in an emergency department in Baltimore, where she served as a charge nurse and team leader. She was instrumental in promoting staff safety and wellbeing, including co-chairing a workplace violence prevention taskforce. Her work in high-pressure environments has given her a deep appreciation for both proactive health care and compassionate, individualized support. Earlier in her career, Sarah coordinated research in cardiovascular medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications on pre-eclampsia, endothelial dysfunction, and ICU communication strategies. As a Research Honors Scholar during her nursing education, she participated in the African Immigrant Health Study, helping to explore health disparities and improve outcomes for underserved communities. She also served as a student doula during nursing school, supporting women through labor and delivery and advocating for patient-centered maternity care. Outside of her professional life, Sarah is a wife, a proud mom, and a devoted dog-mom to a spirited Weimaraner. She loves spending quality time with her family, whether they are traveling, skiing in the mountains, playing beach volleyball, or hitting the trails on their mountain bikes. Sophia Butz is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with a passion for holistic, patient-centered care. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Towson University and spent the beginning of her career caring for children at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. Throughout her time there, she learned high-level critical thinking, rapid decision-making and multidisciplinary team collaboration. She continued her education at Herzing University where she obtained her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN). She graduated summa cum laude as a Family Nurse Practitioner and certified with the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She started her nurse practitioner career at Medstar working with diabetic patients where she saw firsthand the impact of lifestyle choices on health outcomes. She is a certified yoga instructor and teaches classes that focus on breathwork, body awareness, and the therapeutic benefits of yoga. Whether working one-on-one in the office or leading a group on the mat, Sophie’s mission is to empower others to take an active role in their healing journey and to live with intention, connection, and well-being. She collaborates closely with patients to uncover root causes of illness, offering individualized care plans that may include nutrition, movement, stress management, and mindfulness practices. Sophie enjoys spending her free time running, going to the Delaware beaches, and spending time with her husband and son.


A native of the Delaware beaches, Lydia began her nursing journey at the Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing, where she earned her nursing diploma in 2017. While working full-time as a Registered Nurse in the ICU at Beebe Healthcare, she pursued her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) as a part-time student—demonstrating early on her dedication to both patient care and professional growth. She continued to build her expertise in critical care, eventually relocating to northern Delaware to join the Neuro ICU at Christiana Care, one of the region’s leading healthcare systems. After years of hands-on bedside experience, Lydia decided to transition away from the hospital setting and explore her growing interest in aesthetics and dermatology. She began working as a Registered Nurse at Premier Cosmetic Surgery under their board-certified plastic surgeons, where she gained valuable experience in both functional and cosmetic procedures, as well as patient-centered aesthetic care. Motivated to expand her scope and impact, she enrolled in Walden University’s Master of Science in Nursing program and completed the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) track. She graduated in 2024 and earned national board certification through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), officially becoming a certified FNP-C. Today, Lydia blends her critical care background, aesthetic experience, and advanced education with an integrative approach—focusing on whole-body healing. Her mission is to empower patients to take control of their health by addressing the root causes of symptoms, rather than just treating them. Julia believes in integrating all facets of wellness to contribute to a personalized path when optimizing beauty and health. She has been a licensed Aesthetician in Maryland since 2013. Julia graduated from Von Lee International School of Aesthetics and completed continuing education classes in advanced esthetic techniques at the International Dermal Institute in Philadelphia. Before beginning her aesthetic career, she obtained a degree in Fine Arts from Towson University, and trained with Sugarlash Pro to become certified in lash extension and lash lifting techniques. She is also certified in microblading through Phibrows and is certified in LiFT saline removal for permanent makeup. Julia is a certified ZO expert and has advanced training with IS Clinical, VI Peel, and Dermaplane Pro. Julia understands the reality that looking good often means feeling good. She focuses on providing exceptional customer service and is passionate about helping her clients achieve their skincare goals. Julia wants every client leaving their session happy and fulfilled with their results.


Shannon is a passionate Medical Aesthetician with 30+ years of experience helping clients achieve radiant, healthy skin. As a ZO® Skin Health Expert, she embraces Dr. Zein Obagi’s science-backed approach to treating skin at the cellular level—no quick fixes, just real, lasting results. Known for her deep knowledge, intuitive touch, and love of ongoing education, Shannon is dedicated to guiding each client through their unique skin journey. Outside the treatment room, she’s happiest spending time with her husband and their beloved fur babies.


Angelica graduated from Towson University’s nursing program. She began her nursing career at GBMC, where she worked in the Pediatric Emergency Room, gaining valuable experience in acute pediatric care. Driven by a deep passion for wellness and holistic health, she transitioned to Lifemed to align her clinical skills with her interest in preventive and integrative approaches to healthcare. She also is deeply passionate about aesthetic medicine, where she enjoys helping individuals feel confident and empowered in their own skin through personalized treatments.



Barbara Crannell, RN, PMP joined Lifemed Institute in 2017. Since joining the LifeMed team she has pursued wellness, aesthetics, and sexual health therapies; the aspects of nursing she is most passionate about. She is LifeMed’s Sexual Vitality Specialist having completed her certifications in male and female sexual dysfunction and is an approved GAINSWave® practitioner. Her mission is to integrate a wide range of treatment options that are available to assist singles and couples whose relationships are being negatively affected by conditions that in most cases can be easily addressed. Barbara furthered her education with soundwave therapies in Extracorporeal Pulse Activation Technology (EPAT) for patients suffering from both acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries. The physical, emotional, and sexual health of each of her patients is her highest priority! She also holds the elite Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, which has been applied throughout our office framework assisting with the development, delivery, and oversight of our protocols and treatment programs.


Emily earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Maryland in 2018. She began her nursing career in the Emergency Department at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, where she developed essential critical thinking and clinical skills while caring for a diverse patient population. Her experience in the ER sparked a passion for wellness and preventative medicine, inspiring her to help patients lead healthier lives and reduce the risk of chronic disease. In 2021, Emily joined LifeMed Institute, where she plays an integral role in guiding patients on their wellness journeys. She has expanded her expertise to include sexual health and soundwave therapies, earning certifications as a Sexual Vitality Specialist with a focus on male and female sexual dysfunction. Emily is also a certified GAINSWave® provider, offering innovative, non-invasive treatment options aimed at improving quality of life and relationships. Her training in Extracorporeal Pulse Activation Technology (EPAT) enables her to treat acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions by promoting natural tissue healing. Within LifeMed, Emily has also stepped into a leadership role as a charge nurse, mentoring new team members and helping to uphold the highest standards of patient care. Emily is committed to continued professional growth and advancing her role in wellness medicine. Her goal is to empower patients and her community to live healthier, more fulfilled lives through compassionate care, education, and evidence-based treatments.




Cierra is a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Wesley College School of Nursing, class of 2016. Her nursing journey began during her studies, working as an LPN in the Emergency Department at Bayhealth, where she developed a deep appreciation for Emergency and Trauma nursing. Following her graduation, she seamlessly transitioned into an RN role in the same department, further solidifying her clinical expertise in fast-paced, high-acuity settings. In 2022, Cierra joined LifeMed Institute at the launch of its Delaware location. Initially serving as the floor nurse administering IV therapy and nutritional injections, her passion for holistic and preventative healthcare led her to quickly advance into the role of Treatment Nurse. In this position, she now serves as the Sexual Vitality Nurse, helping men and women address sexual dysfunction with compassion, discretion, and evidence-based care. She is an approved GAINSWave practitioner and is trained in Extracorporeal Pulse Activation Technology (EPAT) to support patients experiencing both acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain. In addition to her work in regenerative and sexual wellness, Cierra performs a variety of aesthetic procedures including laser hair reduction, microneedling, VI peels, and SkinVive treatments, blending clinical knowledge with an artistic touch to help clients look and feel their best. With a unique blend of emergency, preventative, and aesthetic nursing experience, Cierra is committed to empowering her patients through comprehensive, personalized care.



Megan earned her Associate of Science degree in Nursing from Harford Community College in 2007. She began her career in a medical-surgical renal unit at Franklin Square Hospital in Baltimore Maryland and later advanced her clinical expertise in the ICU. Megan continued her career at the most recognized urgent care centers in the Delmarva region.
In 2022, she joined the LifeMed Institute team, where she specializes in IV therapy, testosterone replacement therapy, sexual vitality, and extracorporeal pulse activation technology (EPAT). Megan is passionate about health optimization and is dedicated to helping patients achieve their highest quality of life. She currently sees patients at LifeMed locations in Bel Air, Timonium, and Columbia.


Rebekah graduated from the University of Delaware with her bachelor’s in Health Science with a minor in Health and Wellness in 2017. She later received her bachelor’s in Nursing from the University of Delaware in 2019. She began working in the PACU at Beebe Medical Center that same year and remained there until 2021. Following the PACU, Rebekah transitioned to the ER at Bayhealth Hospital where she developed skills necessary for her future endeavors, including the IVs and injections we offer at Lifemed. Rebekah wanted to enter the world of concierge medicine since graduating nursing school and was finally aligned with Lifemed Institute in 2022 where she quickly became a part of the team. Her time in the hospital allowed her to see the toll that chronic, uncontrolled illness can have on patients and she wanted to explore preventative medicine in order to better serve the community. Her years of experience in nursing in addition to her health science background have provided her with a strong knowledge of prophylactic treatments for numerous diseases and ailments. Rebekah loves hearing about how our services at Lifemed have positively affected patient lives.



Daniel graduated with his bachelor's degree in economics from Towson University in 2019. After graduating, he worked for several years in data analytics for a Google partner. While he pursued a nursing degree, he had the opportunity to work on various units at Johns Hopkins Hospital including the ER, Trauma, and ICU. In 2023, Daniel graduated from the University of Maryland School of Nursing and subsequently joined the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore as a Multi-Trauma nurse. Beyond his hospital work, Daniel also served as a Certified Personal Trainer, specializing in clients with complex medical needs and health conditions.


Erika is a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse with a strong foundation in acute care and a growing passion for holistic and preventative medicine. She began her nursing career after graduating from Montgomery County Community College in 2022 and went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of West Florida in 2024. Her clinical experience began on an ortho/trauma unit at a Level 1 trauma center in Florida, where she developed IV therapy skills in a fast-paced environment. During her time in the hospital, Erika witnessed firsthand the toll of preventable diseases and felt drawn to a more proactive, whole-body approach to wellness. At LifeMed Institute, she brings this unique blend of acute care experience and preventative health philosophy to support patients in achieving long-term wellness. Her goal is to empower individuals through education, early intervention, and personalized care strategies that help prevent illness before it starts.


Elah graduated from the University of Maryland, School of Nursing with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2021. During her time there, she managed critically ill patients who suffered from complex cardiovascular conditions. Her experience in critical care made her realize her strong passion for cardiology and preventative medicine, which is what brought her to Lifemed Institute, where she applies her expertise in a more holistic and wellness-oriented setting.


Autumn is a dedicated registered nurse who began her healthcare journey after graduating from Pennsylvania College of Health Sciences with an Associate’s Degree in Nursing in 2022. She launched her career in the emergency department at Lancaster General Hospital, where she built a solid foundation in critical care and gained invaluable experience managing chronic illnesses and acute medical conditions. Inspired by the profound impact nursing can have on people’s lives, Autumn transitioned from emergency care to focus on preventive and wellness medicine. This passion led her to join Lifemed Institute in 2025, where she continues her mission to promote holistic health. As an RN at Lifemed, Autumn is committed to empowering her patients to become the best versions of themselves. Mariah graduated from Harford Community College with her Associate Degree in Nursing in 2023, and earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Towson University later that year. She began her nursing career on a busy cardiac medical-surgical floor at Franklin Square Hospital managing patients with complex cardiac conditions. She then transitioned from acute care to wellness in 2024 at Lifemed Institute to allow her to help individuals take a more proactive approach to their health through lifestyle changes, education, and personalized wellness strategies.



Alisha Talbert-McGhee serves as Office Director at our Bel Air, Maryland LifeMed clinic, where she has dedicated her entire career to empowering individuals on their wellness journeys. Starting as a Marketing Coordinator at LifeMed, Alisha discovered her calling in wellness advocacy, personal development, and compassionate patient care.
